In reply to: Drop downsThanks alchmyth. I tried that and the drop downs still didn’t display. Is my code correct above?

In reply to: Styling CommentsYou’re right…..Name only.
I ended up just starting from scratch and that did the trick. Thanks so much for your help, alchymyth. I really appreciate it!

In reply to: Styling CommentsI fixed the errors and that helped. Thanks for that reminder (validate)! That’s when the font-size jumped so large. I saw that too and fixed it. So, some styles are working now. However, I can’t get the spacing between comments and I can’t change the name of the commenter. Isn’t that “cite”?

In reply to: Styling CommentsOkay. Will do (validator). Thanks for your help. So, by looking at the CSS does it look like I’m using the right classes and ids to style the comments section?
Corresponding html file? Oh……do you mean the site? The blog is here. If not, let me know what you mean. The comments.php file I didn’t change.

In reply to: Featured post widget or pluginYou know what I realized….the blog page is a category (Blogging Toward Bliss) so there’s no way to make a custom sidebar for that is there?

In reply to: Featured post widget or pluginOh……right. I didn’t read that correctly. Thank you!

In reply to: Featured post widget or pluginOkay great. Thanks!
Shoot…site already created so don’t want to recreate it. It is a custom theme, I think.

In reply to: Featured post widget or pluginIf one of these plugins doesn’t work easily, I may want to ask you about coding (for hire) or purchasing your code (if it makes sense). I know CSS/xhtml better than php. Would it be okay to email you about that?
Also…..any idea if there is a widget or plugin that will allow you to add something to only one page? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it but can’t remember what it is. I’m trying to remove Google AdSense from this site and just add it to the blog page.

In reply to: Featured post widget or pluginHave you used any to recommend that have more ids and classes? Client/designer want it to look exactly like this (the gray bg, white font, white border and blue titles). Seems like I should be able to create my own classes/ids?

In reply to: Featured post widget or pluginVery cool! I can just customize the look in the CSS?

In reply to: More than one page.php? Thanks for those links. The thing about these pages is that some will have a sidebar, some will have no sidebar and some will have two sidebars.

In reply to: Hide blog titleI guess deleting “><?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?> wouldn’t affect the SEO since there’s still the <title>Animal Communication – Rain Hummingbird's Blog</title>. Can you confirm?
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Hide blog titleYeah, that’s it. So, deleting that won’t affect SEO and what the SEs see as discussed in the two articles above?
Thanks!
