Please see the example. For your example, I believe you are using Dynamic Portfolio but I am not sure why your sticky posts are not shown on top.
It is difficult to check without accessing your site. Sometime, WordPress do give wrong sticky order.

For your issue, have you assigned Page Template to the static “home”? What do you mean about ” I want it like a slider.”?

In reply to: [Voyage] facebook plugin in nav barFacebook has its official plugin. There are other plugins to support social sharing. Since you do not know much about php, I recommend you not to modify header.php at all. Voyage Theme and other plugins should be able to help you.
If you do not like plugin, you can simply copy the codes into a text widget in Navigational Widget Area (or Header Widget Area) in Voyage Theme.
