    Mr Brother Gibb,
I installed buddypress twice – once to an existing multi-site installation and once to a brand new one and guess what? NEITHER WORK! BY BUDDYPRESS IS BROKEN.

So please let the world know what the big dark secret is to stopping anything after /members from redirecting to the home page. We know you are sitting on the secret.

I have seen posts about this going back over a year so obviously this is a problem with a solution. But I haven’t seen the solution posted anywhere!

    Thank you!

The above thread by others describes exactly what I experienced.

When I made my initial post, the other threads weren’t there. I haven’t read through them to see if there is a solution to the problem behind mysql hacking which is beyond my talents.

Here is another thread. Hmm it says you work for Automattic with two teas.
Does that make you a super duper Englishman? How does the saying go about god country and Englishmen? You should work on your own personal SEO. I googled your name and you are nowhere to be found!

Seriously, like I said, I moved on. And I am very happy. The original links are listed in google and I am getting lots of hits from them. I even create the redirects programmatically with metadata. Part of the reason for the success is the great head2space plugin. You should take some pointers from that developer!

Sorry but you are in denial.

Perhaps the plugin continues to work in an installation that has been upgraded, but as other here have also confirmed, it can NOT BE INSTALLED in WP3.1.
I tried a clean WP install.

I am not prone to wasting developers’ time with spurious or bogus bug reports.

Anyway, I am using Quick Page/Post Redirect. Works like a charm. I suggest others considering what plugin to choose do the same.

Like I said, obviously no obligations. That goes both ways of course.

Yes I want to say thanks also. Without this I would have had to go for the premium plugin.

I would like to add a tip for everyone.
If you add the plugin “WP Missed Schedule”,I think the cron will execute frequently instead of once a day.

Plugin doesn’t work in WP 3.1. I know I have dups and this plugin listed none.

Great Alec, now please just explain how to install it on a new 3.1 site.
It doesn’t create the tables. Several people have reported this already.

December 2010 is pre-WP3.1. While it may not be justified and agent, it certainly is NOT cutting edge.

I recommend Quick Redirects. It may not be as fancy, but IT WORKS!
    That’s because it uses metadata.

    Thanks for volunteering!

I registered just to make a post on this thread.

Requiring /blog for WPMU has got to be one of the most brain dead programming decisions I’ve seen in a long time.

I am aware of the logic and I believe it is stupid.

I make no apologies for my bluntness!

One doesn’t screw the “masses” to eliminate the problems of the possible careless few.

This doesn’t get the “Charlie Sheen Winning” Award.
