In reply to: Theme Editor has disappeared in WordPress 3.3Hi there
If you’re ok using the theme editor within WordPress, then there’s not much of a difference using a standalone PHP editor.
All you do is use FTP to download a copy the theme editor file from the theme folder in your host’s folder to your hard drive. (You can do this through cPanel as well).
Make a copy of the file and place it somewhere else in the drive (in case your edited copy goes wrong). Open the PHP editor, load in the file and edit it. Save it, then simply upload the modified file via FTP to the theme folder, overwriting the original.
It’s sad that you’re not getting much of a response to your query. I’ve noticed a few posts going unanswered these days.
Good luck

In reply to: Theme Editor has disappeared in WordPress 3.3I emailed my theme designer, since I got no replies on here. He could not help but advised that he does not use the Editor feature on WordPress and he recommended that I use a proper PHP editor.
So now I just use my FTP client and edit the files I need using the excellent free NaviCoder editor http://www.navicoder.com/
I then just upload the files back into my WordPress folder.

In reply to: RSS Feed problemUPDATE
I found a helpful article – I followed the instructions, created a new post, it showed up ok on Feedburner and a few hours later, my test hotmail a/c I use to test subscriptions, received the post. However, I made a second post and over 18 later, it did not show in the RSS feeed.
Here is the helpful link…

But I’m still stuck with one RSS post, albeit it’s a new one.
Any ideas folks?
Incidently, I’ve upgraded to WordPress 3.1.2

In reply to: Too many tagsThanks for your help alchymth – I found it in the page.php as you described, changed <h1> to <h2>, ran Firefox, checked with SEO doctor and the SEO friendly percentage rose to 100& (it was 86% previously).
That was a great help.
Thank you

In reply to: Too many tagsHi alchymyth – thanks for your prompt reply.
Forgive me ignorance, where did you find this code? Where can I edit the permalink code?
Thanks
Mine is ok now.
I clicked on GALLERY in the Admin panel, and NextGen informed me that the scripts had to be upgraded (as well).
I clicked on the upgrade – and all is well.
This is SO frustrating – why change a perfectly good program?
Now my slideshow won’t work.
How do I revert back to the previous version?
