I tried that. It worked but it ended up printing the author’s name twice. I don’t know if it’s because I’m missing some loop detail going on or what but… alas, I only need the name showing up once.

Since it’s a plugin that came with a theme someone bought for me to modify, it’s in the functions.php file.
