Thanks for your comment, I am however inclined to believe that it is your internet that is causing slow loading, I have tested this on numerous computers and had good loading speeds.

Ahh I see what you mean, I was viewing the post in visual mode and the <p> tags were missing but on HTML view I could see them.

The best example of this is this page :
http://website.usefuldesign.co.uk/wordpress/about-3/As you see the footer doesn’t drop to the bottom, the sidebar does.
Here is my footer css :

However it looks like the image might be too big to wrap around the text, I tried to wrap it in the default Kubrick theme and it didn’t work, will try with another image.
