In reply to: 3.8.1 does not detect HTTPS tweets for oEmbedHTTPS DOES NOT work, only HTTP works now.. Hmm.
Other user reported that http://i2.wp.com/gadgetlife.kr/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/%EA%B0%A4%EB%9D%BC%EC%9A%B4%EB%93%9C.png?resize=720%2C404 this works (and works for me too), and now I really don’t know what’s exactly going on…
“I understand Jetpack requires smaller image,” but I here want to investigate a problem that ‘resized’ photon links work while ‘original’ photon links don’t, which I cannot understand.
I collected other images that show this behavior, this time same through foreign VPN.

http://i2.wp.com/gadgetlife.kr/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/%EA%B0%A4%EB%9D%BC%EC%9A%B4%EB%93%9C.pngWould you do me a favor and check those two links?
I’m completely frustrated now as http://i2.wp.com/gadgetlife.kr/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/갤탭7.0P.png?resize=720%2C404 now works with my multiple devices and browsers but still http://i2.wp.com/gadgetlife.kr/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/갤탭7.0P.png does not.
–Sorry, it seems my ISP is just doing some trick here as I also see error with former link when I access through foreign VPN.
Oh, I got it. By some reason it once worked and the resized one is saved in my browser cache but original one is not, and now the link is completely broken…
Thank you for testing, my mistake here :/However, anyway, I’m looking forward to some fix here XD
Let’s check this one more time.
http://i2.wp.com/gadgetlife.kr/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/갤탭7.0P.png?resize=720%2C404
This link works. This means Photon succeeded in loading original sized ‘갤탭7.0P.png’http://i2.wp.com/gadgetlife.kr/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/갤탭7.0P.png
This link is the same one but without ‘resize’ query.
If Photon loaded original sized one, why it gives error this time?By the way, I’m happy to hear that there are some plans to fix this problem. Thanks for the information!
As you marked this post duplicated:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/jetpack-photon-only-shows-resized-image-but-not-original-one?replies=2#post-5055124I read Photon code and I think it loads original sized ones for every images. Then, how can Photon be unable to give original sized image but just resized one? I cannot understand, and even if that’s the right case, Photon should give some fallback.
I understand that, but Jetpack should use any fallback in that case. I suggest Photon give 302 redirect instead of just giving error message.
