There is an inconscient will to delete the memory of b2 in the WP mind. Heritage is something heavy.
So you will never find a solution of import. It will always be considered as a minor question…
I’m agree too with critics for support. The actual forum is a pity. Why not PHBB ? Perhaps because it was the choice of b2 support ? Another sign of heritage to erase.

I mean it could be usefull to have in the readme.html ” This release is designed to sit in a wordpress folder ” instead of ” This release is designed to sit in your root folder “.
I say that because when you want to put b2 in a b2 folder (everyone make this!) it’s hell whith the include’s paths. My dream is an index.php which is in the root folder and all the others files in a subfolder called workpress. I think it isn’t a minor question for a lot of people.
