In reply to: Problem in ExplorerThanks for the suggestions. I have removed the bookmarkify plugin, but the problem remains. What happens is that most of the page loads until I get a popup error message saying “Cannot open the Internet area http://www.cambodiatales.com. Operation was aborted”
I use IE 7 – it all works fine in Firefox.The validator page mentions above I cannot access as it claims there is a 404 error accessing the site.
I have tried to deactivate all plugins, but no result. Any other suggestions?
I am leaving for Cambodia on Saturday and really want to get it fixed before that as I plan to do a lot of blogging from there.Thanks!

I searched and followed the advice in one of the other forum threads covering this topic.
Basically I renamed the plugin folder – from “plugins” to “plugin”. That gave me my admin pages back – but it could not find any of the plugins. I then renamed back to “plugins” and everything was OK – except that I had to reactivate all the plugins.

The php version is 5.2.5 – is that OK?
Checked out the blank spaces – that’s not the problem.
How do I find the right index.php file to upload? I am using WordPress 2.7. Should I perhaps upgrad to 2.8 right away?Forum: Fixing WordPress

The site looks OK from outside – but all of a sudden all admin pages are blank. I did not do any particular changes before it happened.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated – especially since I am not very technical myself.
