In reply to: V1.5 older nightly versionsparisgv2 said: the problem is that they have deleted those files for more space at the url i used to go and download them (i mentioned it on my 1st post) and dont know where to find them now
I didn’t say to upload from those files, I said use the changelog (currently gone, but returning somewhere eventually, perhaps) to find out what files had changed SINCE the 15th, and upload those files from the LATEST nightly.
By the way, this thread is just about killing me with laughter right now 🙂

In reply to: Still No Luck :(The installer doesn’t create the database for you. You’ll need to create the database and the user first (remembering to give that user full rights to the database) before WP will install.

In reply to: V1.5 older nightly versionsThere is absolutely no reason you need to do that. Just grab the latest nightly and use the changelog to see which files have changed since the version you currently have.
For example, if you’re running the Jan15 nightly and you want to upgrade to the Jan21 nightly (i haven’t added it to the changelog yet since it’s still 5 hours from locking), then just upload the files named under Jan16, 17, 18, 19, and 20. The latest nightly has all the latest versions of every file that’s changed since any earlier one, so you don’t need to waste time updating from 5 versions in a row. Just note all the files that have changed and upload them from the latest nightly.

In reply to: Asides for 1.5Great, thanks Podz 😀

In reply to: V1.5 older nightly versionsSo far, Jan20 is working for me. If you’re updating to a nightly released after Jan11 from one before that date, run the /wp-admin/upgrade.php page.

In reply to: Asides for 1.5Almost 😉 My plugin has nothing to do with Matt’s Asides, it’s simply another way of accomplishing the goal 🙂

In reply to: Asides for 1.5Hey Podz, thanks for linking my Q&D plugin there 🙂 Could you maybe specify that my plugin does work in the default template (actually, any template) though? The way it reads, it seems that the installation info below that link is for the RustAsides plugin and not for Matt’s Asides plugin.
Thanks 🙂

In reply to: Asides Plugin for 1.5Multo weirdness – I was using a slightly modified Manji theme and it worked fine on my browsers. I’ve switched back to a modified default theme for now, until I’ve finished my real theme.
Hopefully, it’ll all work now 🙂 Please let me know.

In reply to: Can’t get SQL database to be recognized.PHP4 doesn’t much like MySQL 4.1 due to the new authorization system. There is a way around that, though, if you need it. I’m too lazy (and tired) to type it up right now, but later tonite I’ll add it to the codex.

In reply to: V1.5 Broken ThemeIt’s funny though – GreenTrack works fine on my own blog (though it does puke a little because I’ve made my own templates for Kubrick, but haven’t ported them to GreenTrack yet), but just showed a completely blank (and empty) page on a fresh install of the same nightly on a different domain. Both blogs were on the same host (my server) and at the same IP address, though different domain names.
Veddy odd, ya? 🙂 But yeah, beta – fun to play with 😀

In reply to: V1.5 Broken ThemeI had that exact problem with GreenTrack on one of the hosted blogs here – never did figure it out…
