Okay, so I ended up going to WordPress’s release archive and just replacing my update with the version I had originally started with. I had to update the database, but everything went back to normal–I can use my dashboard again. Hurrah!
So now I can do this all in the correct order, with backups, and it’ll go a lot more smoothly. X)

Okay, but how do I preserve my site layout? If I upgrade ComicPress, won’t it destroy all my CSS files?
Another thought… I can probably fix this by upgrading to the newest ComicPress, but I’m afraid to do so, as I have a pretty heavily modified theme running–with my own graphics, layout, etc. Won’t upgrading CP destroy all that?
I guess I could back /it/ up first…
This would be so much easier if I had done this in the right order and not destroyed my admin panels. >_>
