In reply to: URL rewriting for trackbacks (wp 1.5.2)Maerk, thanks for your feedback.
Yes, my permalinks look fine. You can view examples here:

In reply to: Manually edit WP’s .htaccess file (for rss feed redirect)Thanks a lot guys (or gals), editing that class of code would’ve probably been my solution. And still might be for erroneous posts and other manual redirects 😮 (although i bet i’ll find a plugin for that too)
But i stumpled upon another solution yesterday, reading these about redirecting to feedburner:
WordPress Feedburner Plugin and
Hard lessons learned with Feedburner and BloglinesIt works fine so far, results in Dutch can be viewed at Usarchy usability nieuws.

In reply to: How can I change Unwanted 301 redirect?I would say your webserver is doing this. If the server wouldn’t, you would get a 404, since a URL with no / behind it, is a file.
So it suspects the non trailing slash should indeed be a directory and … you get the point 🙂Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Truncate title of recent posts in menu? For some reason, this is one of very few posts about truncating recent posts’ titles, but it doesn’t offer a solution as far as i can judge. The number mentioned in get_archives is about the number of posts to be shown, not about the length of the title. At least, that’s my conclusion when reading about the get_archives function and trying to play around with it.
I’m now close to just modifying template-functions-general.php with an extra elseif argument for postbypost-truncate to take a substr of the title. But I suck at scripting so it will be messy :/
