Also, I was wondering if there would be anyway I could have a menu item link to a category. So that the menu item automatically forwards to the contents of one of my categories.

Hey Adam,
My preference is MyBlog.com as well. It’s easier to market it that way, to cut out the rather pointless ‘www.’ – but I see big sites like Facebook have it rewritten to http://www.facebook.com, and I guess when you include the ‘www.’, it becomes a backlink on most places where it’s posted.
