Don’t see any setting for that. Someone suggested removing the <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?> tag from the header of the gpx file, but then Edge downloads it as .htm grrr.
The template author showed me where to edit the error message like so: “You can also try to login to your admin panel, http://springbike.org/wp-login.php , navigate to appearance/ editor, cherry files, locals.php . use ctrl+f to find the text and edit it.”

Thank you John, the theme did seem to be the culprit. When I tried the default theme and did a failed search, I got a ‘no results’ message like I wanted. I’m now attempting to get some answers from the theme developer.
