In reply to: [Testimonial Rotator] Item does not support reviewsThanks for the comments, any thoughts @halgatewood
I have installed WordPress Zero Spam on my sites and that seems to have done the job. However I would still prefer not to have to use it and that spam protection in WPForms was better!
Perfect explanation. Just what I was looking for!
Thanks Ethan. I fully accept that you cannot support third party plugins. I just need one that will prevent spam from the form as I use Akismet for spam protection on comments and that works fine.
Do you have any experience to say that one or the other of the plugins you mention work best with WP Forms Lite? As I say, it is just for the forms I need it. Should I keep the reCaptcha in place as well as the additional spam protection plugin?
Thanks, and I look forward to the WP Forms Lite update which provides greater spam protection as everything else about the plugin is great.
Chris
I would welcome an improvement to anti-spam features as soon as possible. For me, there has been a noticeable increase in the past few months of the amount of spam emails I have received via the contact page which uses WP Forms Lite. I have my reCaptcha setting on the highest.

In reply to: [Testimonial Rotator] Google Snippets and no scoreIf you give each testimonial a star rating and then go into the Rotator settings you can hide the stars. Whether this satifies Google I don’t know yet, but I have asked GSC to validate the fix on the site it has just identied. Hope this helps.

In reply to: [Loginizer] Automatically installing on websites@davinian It appears that Softaculous may be installing by default when you install WordPress. In my case my hosting provider added it server-wide as they had noticed a large number of brute-force attacks on WP websites. So, to be fair, they were looking to protect my sites.
I have since deleted it as I have iThemes Security on all my sites with brute force enabled. This would seem to do the same job as Loginizer.
It would be good to hear from the Loginizer developer/support team on what is happening with the plugin – see the separate thread on being unable to deactivate it from WP Admin.

This has not worked for me either since the last update a week ago. Can the plugin authors please find a fix as soon as possible? Thanks

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Recommended robots.txtI am also having issues with this particular site where old events are still showing on the home page widget. When I clear the cache it updates. I am using WP Fastest Cache plugin. Any ideas?
Got it! Many thanks again
