I may just go with the downloadable backup as I did a backup with a different plugin last week and had a lot of problems trying to restore it.It was 75MB in size which I know is too large for it to be sent to email, so will try a downloadble back up Hence me trying out the online backup plugin.

    Thanks for your help Jason.

Do I only need access to the online vault if I wanted the back up online? Do I need to have access to the online vault for email and a downloadable backup? If not for the email and downloadable backup what is the maximum file size for it to be emailed to me please?

    Thanks.

    Hello Jason.

I think I will just leave it as I don’t fully understand what I am doing when it comes to messing around with servers. Plus I can’t find the curl-ca-bundle.crt that needs replacing.

    Thanks.

    Hello Jason.

I have enabled the CURL extension along with the allow_url_open and activated the openssl.

Now I’m getting this error message, when I click connect in Online backup settings:

[Error Code http_request_failed] SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed.

    Thanks.

    Ok thanks!

I didn’t rename the other files Sed or are you saying I can? But it does explain why I was being asked where the z01 etc files are when I tried to extract it, when the zip file name was different. I was having a bit of a nightmare with my website hence trying to restore it. I have already started rebuilding though as assumed I can’t recover it. It’s not that big so won’t take me long.

    Thanks for the guidance.

Right! Can’t rename it back to what it’s meant to be then? I know I created a folder with the backup date (230513) to put the files in within my WP backup. So in future don’t rename the zip.

    Thanks for your help.

    Here you go Sed.

I think the files extracted. But I get two errors appear when I tried to access my localhost. The one I think I fixed. The other I couldn’t.

Yes Sed I’m afraid so. I put the zip folder and z01,z02 etc in a folder on my hard disk. Extracted the zip folder with Winrar. It kept asking me where was z01 etc file. So I had to click on each of those files for it to extract. File z03 was corrupt so it would not complete the extraction.

    Hello Sed.

Just a quick question? I did a force backup of my entire site yesterday. I did ask for it to be sent to my email. But! it was 75MB in size which is too big for attachments. I’m guessing. So downloaded the files from the Backup scheduler interface. I put the compressed file in a folder on my c drive called WP Backup. I tried to unzip it in WinRar and kept being asked where is z1, z2 etc. Which I had in my downloads. It started extracting but took a while. So had to leave it as it was late. So do I put the z1…files in the WP Backup folder with the compressed zip folder and extract them back to the WP backup folder?

I have to restore my backup as my site went down yesterday. So I need to restore it if possible. Any advice would be great.

    Thanks
