However, I still get an error on Chrome when I go http://robcubbon.com/free maybe that’s a cache/CDN issue – although I flushed the cache on my CDN
and, as a matter of interest, what’s the text editor you’re using to show the bad characters?

In reply to: RSS feed errorYes, kmessinger, I can’t work out why it isn’t validating. I’m wondering if there’s a funny character in there but I can’t see anything wrong about it. There seems to be something wrong with this here:

The host said it was just the index.php that was changed and replacing it with the default one fixed it. The host said that I should keep everything updated but it was only WordPress that was out of date and the update had only been a few days ago. The host didn’t mention the outdated Apache. Thinking of changing host.

In reply to: Database name is known – is this a security issue?Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate your concerns but what’s the difference between blurring out the database name, user and password and changing them later?
I appreciate that there’s still constants that people (The Gentlemen from the Other Firm) to latch onto like prefixes, for example. But the password, for example, is completely random as are the username and database name (apart from the prefixes).

It must be easy to copy a database in cPanel assign it to a new username and password and then change the wp-config.php and then I can sleep well at night …

Andy Bailey (GASP plugin author) has reported that he has fixed the issue http://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-leave-comments-4?replies=4
I’ve been getting a bit of spam as well.

In reply to: Visitors can't post commentsOK, I’ve purged all the cache on my MaxCDN CDN then immediately got two lovely spam comments that were missed by Akismet then I logged out and successfully posted a comment with the ID of a regular commenter and so it appears to be back to normal.
However, I’ve no idea what happened here and I would love to know how to stop it happening again.
