In reply to: [Nimble Page Builder] Formatting issues when editing within Rich Text moduleI just copied it back into Notepad (which is the software I always used to strip formatting) and it still kept the paragraphs intact. So I don’t know.
I built my site using Nimble Builder a year ago, but only recently started having these formatting issues with it. The original text was fine when I first brought it into Nimble Builder. And I edited and made changes to it. Then suddenly, I went into the editor to make a change and back out and things were all screwed up. And that’s happened on two separate occasions.
Anyway, thanks again for your ideas. I will keep them in mind as I move forward.

In reply to: [Nimble Page Builder] Formatting issues when editing within Rich Text moduleThanks for your thoughts on this. I usually copy text into a text editor to strip formatting first, but I cannot remember whether I did that with this text or not, since I was trying to retain some of the formatting, like auto numbering.
I just tried copying the text from the website back to Word, and for me, it still is in paragraph form. That’s weird that your test was different.
I still suspect that there is an issue within Nimble Builder as I also had data loss a few days earlier when I deleted a simple comma from a paragraph and it subsequently deleted all the text on the page. But I have not been able to replicate these issues consistently. Thanks for responding!
I had already disabled pingback functionality from XMLRPC, but that didn’t make a difference. So I completely blocked access to XMLRPC as per the documentation, and that may have fixed the issue. It’s been 3 days, and so far, there have been no failed login attempts. I was getting 1 or 2 every day before this. So (fingers crossed) this may have fixed the problem. Thanks!
I have had another repeat formatting issue since this post with Nimble Builder (although no data loss this other time). And WordPress, plugins, etc. were all up to date. I have not added any custom code to anything. There is some kind of buggy issue going on with reformatting text the inside editor. I only use Nimble Builder for text editing so I don’t know what else it could be.
Data loss is really a new topic at this point as it’s much more serious than formatting issues. But I posted it under the same question with the assumption that I would get a response. However, the plugin author has not responded with solutions to any of this. I think this version of Nimble Builder has serious issues since my data within 8 pages suddenly disappeared. I would like to know if a more stable version is coming soon, otherwise I will have to look for another page building solution.
Any thoughts? My site is still broken and my data appears to be lost.
As an additional reference to my reply above, the links below are from my test website which I created months ago, and which has not been affected. This is exactly how my live site should still look:

When I looked at my website this morning, I also noticed that now all the content under most of the “Specialty” drop down menu webpages has also disappeared. If you look at pages under “Speciality”, such as “Anxiety”, “Depression”, “Drug and Alcohol Counseling”, all the way down to “Women’s Issues” etc., none of them have any content. And it looks the exact same way in edit mode. All of those pages were built a year ago, and I have not edited them since then. I looked at a couple of them in edit mode a day or two ago, but that was only to make a Nimble Builder template from one of them. I have not done anything more to the website since I reported the other issues yesterday. So it must have happened around the same time as the formatting issue that happened yesterday.
My entire website uses Nimble Builder on each page, so I don’t know why only these pages are being affected.
After I noticed all of this, I updated to the latest WordPress 6.0 as you suggested but it has not fixed the issue or the issue with the formatting of the IOP page which I wrote about yesterday. I checked the “Health Check and Troubleshooting” plugin and it said site was “good” with no critical issues. I erased my browser history. WP Super Cache has been inactive this whole time while I’ve been working on the website, but I enabled it to delete the “cache” as I believe you had requested, and then disabled the plugin again.
I went into troubleshooting mode and disabled all the plugins except for Nimble Builder, but all the pages mentioned remain blank with no content even though it should be there.
My site is broken now and I have no idea what to do. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I turned off all plugins except Nimble Builder and issue still exists. As I said before, issue only occurs on iPad when using “fixed background” or “parallax effect” on background images.
I loaded your test site on my iPad and your image also looked zoomed in on my iPad. I’m using an iPad 5 running IOS 13.6. When I tested last week, I used another iPad 5 running IOS 14.4. Could it be an issue with your coding being incompatible with earlier iPad versions?

I know the “fixed background” or “parallax effect” features do not work on an iphone but just shows the entire still image. That is fine. But the iPad does not do even that. Either it should function like the desktop view or the iphone view, but not just zoom in on an image and give a pixelated portion of it.
I was looking forward to using this cool feature on my site, but I will have to disable it until it works properly on an iPad.
Hope this can be fixed soon.
Update, part 2:
I have tested this more and when the site first loads, it appears to choose “Impact and Palatino” from the Customizr font picker before it switches to the font I have actually chosen, which is Roboto.
If I choose from one of the 4 sets of “Web Safe font pairs”, it seems to work fine and not swap fonts. It also seems to work fine if I choose Helvetica, Palatino Linotype, Verdana, and Times New Roman.
It does not like the Google Font pairs and a lot of other single fonts. It has swap issues with those.
Once I reactivate Nimble Builder, I see the same thing happening with the Nimble Builder sections. I have to choose a font like “Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif” for it not to swap. Other Nimble Builder sections that have a font like “Monserrat 300” also have the swap issue, and swap from something else first.
It seems like the only thing Customizr and Nimble Builder will tolerate are basic boring system fonts.
I tried disabling all plugins, installed a fresh copy of Customizr and deactivated child theme, and this issue still occurred.
Lastly, I created a brand new WordPress install with only the Customizr theme installed (no plugins), and the font issue still occurs.
Here is the freshly installed site: http://test3.restartcda.com/
So I’m quite sure that this is a Customizr bug.

When I disable Nimble Builder (and all other plugins) and leave Customizr theme active, the fonts still swap. So I think it has to do with the Customizr theme.
I think issue is related to old fonts which are somehow being saved into memory somewhere. When site first loads, it switches between multiple fonts and the menu shifts back and forth too.
Sorry, I included Nimble Builder info by mistake. Here is the Customizr info.
