Not sure what I’ve done – but I think I’ve found a solution (to my problem, at least)
The plugin will prompt anyone logged into the dashboard / plugin settings to save an API key, but this form was buggy for me.
The API key only updated successfully after:
- openingMaps > Settings > Advanced
- entering your API key
- clicking save
Since you’ve tried this already, I’d double check that your API key was enabled correctly.
If you’re still having trouble, possibly worth removing / re-installing the plugin entirely.

@jarryd-long I don’t think that’s the issue here
as @soseul was saying:
I see this error: “Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError”
I’ve already added my API key in advenced settings.
I’m getting a similar issue at the moment, I’m suspecting this may be due to file permissions… but if that were the case, I’d expect to have problems with other website functionality.
I’ve tried creating a new API key, too.
