This really bugged me too. I thought I had tried every option. Even though my podcast is only audio and not video, I decided to try unchecking the Disable Video Preview option on the Player Settings page. Unchecking this box solved this problem for me and now my visitors can see the player. You can see this in action at: http://www.mindfulworship.com.
