Exactly. I can’t get the add a video button to work either.

I hate this place. I just logged in and wrote a comprehensive response to your post which I now have to repeat because yes, it didn’t post.

I too have lost something from my blog. A whole month of posts from Jan to the start of Feb. are gone from the blog even thought they are still listed as posts on my manage page. I can access them for editing but when I preview them they come up in a page that is for commenting.

I think the culprit is the fact that wordpress.org apparently believes it needs to update constantly. We the user then have to juggle the three service or more which we are using in order to self-host our blog.
I say or more because I include the plugins we need to do just about anything. For example, the add a video button doesn’t work. You need a plugin and it has to be compatible with your wordpress version. Meanwhile, your hosting services are also upgrading.

It is a mess. Which is why I have backed up all of my posts and am thinking seriously about moving to blogger.com where you only need the one host to do business. I know the editor there isn’t as smooth but at least you can trust that when you have an add a video or audio or image button it will work for you.

I will follow this thread to see if anyone from the wordpress.org side responds.

I have been having somewhat of a similar problem. My blog publishes fine for a month or so and then suddenly the presentation slips and the right column overlays the left and I can’t get it to move. The first time it happened I wrote it up and noone replied. Eventually, I did what you did and changed the theme. That worked for about two months and now the same thing has happened. I am not a programmer, don’t know css and I made no changes in the setup of the blog. It just happened. I sent in a bug report but noone has answered it.

Any one else scared as hell to try another one of these upgrades? They all keep failing and apparently it’s our fault because somehow we are pressuring the programers to finish early. I’m not kidding. I’ve reached a point where I don’t believe the program will work right no matter what. I switched from .com to .org to self host a blog and because I believed it was a step up in the process that garunteed a professional approach. So far that ain’t true. My blog has a glitch or a bug which I have reported several times and tried to find answers to on this forum. No one from support has answered my questions and everyone in the forum seems to have the same problems, it is not working the way it is supposed to. I want to blog not program.

Yes apparently you were talking to yourself. But the topic is still unresolved for me so possibly you could share your solution here.
