I am also having trouble with this. After review of your You Tube video “Seamless Donations customization and hooks demo” I was able to code a modifying plugin using the filter ‘dgx-donate-giving-levels’ to change donation and reorder donation amounts. It worked, but I then found that it made my theme (DIVI) hard to operate (basically, it made divi-built pages un-editable).
I sure do hope that your add-on to simplify this is coming along soon!

chmod appears to only apply to the Unix type OS. Meanwhile I solved the problem with a fresh xampp and wordpress install. Obviously the softward had degraded, but glad that I didn’t have a ton of code to preserve (it was just a sandbox local site).
