Thanks. Figured out that I am using Adthrive for my ads and Adthrive had to activate the plugin on their end.

Thanks, Mary Anne. Have you been able to resolve this?
It did not work for me either. Decided to download an archive copy of wordpress 4.3.1 and installed the ca-bundle.crt file copy from wordpress 4.3.1 and it worked. Not sure why his copy didn’t work for me. Hopefully, this will help someone else.

Also, is it possible to automatically DELETE the files from the backupwordpress folder in the wp-content folder after they have transferred to Amazon s3
