No, I have the image hosted on the same domain and it works for me. When I write only “/wp-content/gallery/my_image.png” I just can see the preview but when I put the complete url like “http://www.my_domain.tld/wp-content/gallery/my_imagen.png” it works (with “my_domain” = my website)
(sorry for my bad english, i’m french) 😉
You must write the complete url (e.g. http://www.domain.tld/wp-content/gallery/your_image.png)
