Chalk me up as yet another person with the same issues. I’m using WordPress 3.1 RC2, so I thought that was the issue, but it seems this is a common issue, even for those using official WordPress releases (3.0.3, 3.0.4).
Thanks. Unfortunately, I knew of that solution and would have used it…except I don’t have direct access to phpMyAdmin from my host (which is my university). I can’t go in and edit what’s in the database unless it’s done through PHP (e.g., a WordPress installation).
So I can’t 1.) edit it by accessing the options-general.php file directly because it won’t let me past the “enable sending referrers” message, and I can’t 2.) edit it through phpMyAdmin or any other type of MySQL interface at the moment.
Is there any type of file I can access that can help me make the change through PHP? Like the options-general.php page, except one that will let me get through? Or, if there’s a way I can get past the “enable sending referrers” page other than trying the suggestions on the page linked to by that error message?
Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, that’s where I’m currently trying to change it from, and clicking “Update Options” gives me a message saying to enable sending referrers (which following the instructions to doesn’t do anything either).
Do I have any other options? Or do I have to wait until someone with access to the database is back in sometime in August?

In reply to: Need help with DMRY’s WordPress/SMF bridgeHi, we launched nearly 2 weeks ago, but without the forums because I couldn’t get this bridge to work. We decided it was okay to launch, since any users that signed up for the WP half of our site are indeed registered for the SMF half, but since it doesn’t auto-login to (and logout from) SMF, we haven’t yet revealed the forums. But the user profiles are in place for when we do, I just need the login/out system to work.
If anyone can help, please do… we would really like to get the other half of our site up, but I have zero understanding of php, mysql, etc.

In reply to: Need help with DMRY’s WordPress/SMF bridgeHi, does anyone with understandings of WordPress and SMF know any way to fix this? Sorry to ask again, but we’re launching our site in less than 24 hours…not to rush anyone, if it’s not ready, we launch without the forums. But in case anyone does indeed know how to do a quick fix, it would REALLY be appreciated.
