My solution was 1st to make sure i did not pass my database space.
2nd I deleted all my themes that was not using…

In reply to: Upgraded to 2.8 & Now I Can’t Save or Publish New PostsOk guys, i am writing this because i was having same issue, i finaly found the solution , my DATABASE LIMIT SIZE is 100mb , i was pass -48
The reason i use plugin Wassup This records all logs into database i had 120 megs of wassup logs, i clean wassup in database and it worked i was able to save post again.so check your database LIMIT SIZE , make sure you are not pass the limit size if so check what plugin is taking too much space.

any other suggestions. i hear some people just waited and everything came back to normal.

In reply to: Missing Visual ToolsYeah,! i tried that, i also tried to re-install creating diffrent database fresh installs and same problem , i was thinking maybe it was my browser , check with firefox same problem.
