In reply to: Website disappearedThe cache on your browser remembers what was viewed so it doesn’t have to reload the same images. If you have a PC you can hit CTRL + F5 and it should reload the page and clear cache for that site. You can clear cache and cookies by viewing the HISTORY in your browser and clear “browsing history” select what you want to clear like cache and cookies but not necessarily passwords if you have the browser save them.

In reply to: How to install a 2nd WordPress site on a subdirLike I said, I let the WP install from the Cpanel. It sets itself up including the database and permalinks, I make no changes to them. When it asks me where I want the install I select the domain and there is an option for a subfolder. So I choose site.com and in the subfolder I enter what I want. When I access the site I use site.com/site1 and the admin of course would be site.com/site1/wp-admin. They are completely separate sites.
The root shows all the normal WP files and folders and SITE1 folder which if I go to it I will find another set of WP files and folders. There is no conflict between the sites.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How to install a 2nd WordPress site on a subdirDo you have a host that auto installs the WP for you? I do exactly what you want all the time. I just tell the installer where I want it but you have to have a separate database for each site. I have site.com then site.com/site1, site.com/site2 etc.. They are completely different sites yet installed off the root of site.com.
