In reply to: Browser check, Mac users esp wanted! Thanks, jenniferg ….
The template appears alright in almost everything — except mac ie.
I’ve managed to check it on myself on mac ie, and any post after the first one turns into a skinny column down the left hand side of the post column. Has this happened to you before? Does any have any ideas about how to fix this?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Browser check, Mac users esp wanted!I haven’t switched the category/archive pages over to the new layout yet … so that’s fine if those ones are broken! Thanks for that input.

In reply to: Display one post per pageYou don’t have to change the foreach statement for it to work (that bit of code you quoted is called the loop in word press!) The first bit of code you have should be working … do you have a link we can look at?

In reply to: Cat Links without List Tag?http://wiki.wordpress.org/wp_list_cats
‘<?php wp_list_cats(”, ”, ”, ”, ”, ‘0’); ?> ‘
I think that’s it. I’m not at home, so I can’t check what I’ve used. But the wiki page should help you out. It lists a number of arguments that you can use to control how you categories are displayed. Hope that helps!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: WYSIWYG EditingIf you have Dreamweaver, you can use it to make your WP site! The only thing that makes a web page run on WP is the stuff that you’ve installed on your web space and the special tags that make the titles, dates, entries show up. While most people who use WP prefer to use CSS heavy sites, you don’t have to. You can make a site in Photoshop, export it to Dreamweaver, add the WP tags where you want them, and you are set to go.
Sorry, I don’t know of any other visual CSS apps, but I hope that helps some.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Single category display on a pageThe $cat variable only effects the page that it is on.
So, as far as I know, you should be able to create a number of different pages, called whatever you like, putting different categories on each.Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: New Pluign: Faked FoldersYes, Guvner, I was getting the same errors, but I didn’t know if I had done something incorrectly. I tried to change the permissions on all the files that I thought the folder may be using, but that fixed nothing. Any suggestions?

In reply to: special entriesI know that you guys tend to respond with in the hour, and it seems I am still left without even a response to this particular question days later. Therefore, at the risk of sounding possibly even more stupid …
Have I asked an obvious question, or, did I not explain myself well?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: category idMuch thanks, that worked beautifully.
