Thanks for your quick reply, KTS915.

But I don’t understand this… if the Pro add-on is deactivated, wouldn’t my website function as if it weren’t there? How would an inactive plugin prevent my site content from loading?

People who don’t have the Pro add-on supposedly wouldn’t see their content disappear when updating the S2member plugin.
