Thank you for the quick response to my request. I tried adding the jQuery to the page where the slider is loaded, no luck. The good news is, I found if I use one of the other slider options (in this case, R.Slides), I get the desired behavior my client is looking for. Thank you for the great plugin and support!
It turns out my host had upgraded my account to PHP 5.5. Reverting my account back to PHP 5.4 resolved this issue for now.

In reply to: [WP Updates Notifier] Why isn't this working for me?I’ve been using this plugin for a number of my clients, which all have different web hosts, and I’ve found if it doesn’t work, it’s typically due to server settings by the web host, as this plugin needs a few server functions in order to work. I’m not sure, but I think this plugin uses the WP-cron and PHP Mail. If your host has disabled either of these features, you may not be able to use this plugin. I have found most hosts running cPanel have no issues with this plugin, but I’ve never been able to get it to work on Yahoo Small Business hosting, for example.
thegreatdanton: if the test email worked, but you’re not receiving update notifications, my guess would be your web host isn’t allowing the cron to run on your WordPress account.
