In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Playlist image sizeThanks for the update.
We have a plugin update coming out early next week, and then the new HTML player update (which is about 75% complete) is due straight after that, so you shouldn’t have to wait more than a week or so. Keep an eye on the changelogs for when it’s ready.
Thanks

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Playlist image sizeHi @deffo I assume you mean the player thumbnail image that appears in the media player, at the top of the playlist? I also assume you are using the HTML5 player, and not the default audio player.
That image is hard coded to always be the thumbnail. We are however in the process of replacing that HTML player with a new one, which will allow for more customisation, so I would ask that you bear with us until we get this update out, which should be within the next few weeks.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] wavesurfer.js is loaded from CloudflareHi @kelmas, thanks for logging this ticket.
We are aware of this privacy issue, and are in fact currently in the process of replacing the current HTML player with an new version, that adds more functionality, looks better, does not require Wavesurfer, and only loads CSS or JavaScript it needs directly from the plugin.
We are working towards getting this update out before the end of the month, so please bear with us. Once it is out everyone can enjoy a better, more privacy aware, HTML player in the plugin.
I’m therefore going to mark this ticket as closed for now.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Podcast post type not showing up in Elementor@delwark I’m updating this support ticket with the details we discovered when testing this via our dedicated support channels.
The issue was related to the theme being used, specifically a plugin that the theme suggests installing. Once the user disabled that plugin, the problem was resolved. I am therefore closing this ticket.
@seattlehoo I think you are experiencing a different issue to @delwark so could I ask you to please log a separate ticket for it, thanks.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Show description in series pageHi @marcomammi thanks.
Unfortunately that’s a paid theme, so I can’t download it to check. Your best bet would be to check with the theme developers as to which template file is being used to render your custom post type archive pages.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Show description in series pageHi @@marcomammi
What theme do you have installed on your website?
It might not have a taxonomy.php theme file, in which case I can help you find the right theme template file, higher up in the template hierarchy.
Hi @tomastc
This is an existing bug we are aware of, that will be fixed when we update our HTML5 player implementation, which is due in the next few weeks.
In the meantime, are you able to create a copy of your site, perhaps on a staging environment, so that I can see the bug in action on your site, and suggest a workaround, until we can get the update out.
Thanks

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Show description in series pageHi @marcomammi
In order to change the display of the series archive page, you will need to create a custom series taxonomy template in your WordPress theme, or ideally in a child theme.
This help article details how to edit both your Podcast archive and Series archive views.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Show description in series pageHi @marcomammi
Do you already have the series id, and you just need to get the description for the series, or do only have the episode id, and need to get the series that the episode is attached to first?
Also, do you need the series description, or the series feed description?
Thanks

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] ICONS broken (WordPress)Hi Jamie, thanks for sending your support request.
As per our discussion, this is a bug in our current HTML player implementation, which we’re not fixing now, as we’re pushing out a new player in the coming weeks.
So for now it can be worked around by adding the following custom CSS to the Customizer
.icon-box::before { content: none; }Thanks

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Embed player does not work in an external site@cpweb5 as I mentioned if you switch to the Standard Compact Player, and use the embed, that will work.
Until we can update the player, and ensure it supports the Episode Embed code, there’s currently no way to use the Episode Embed from WordPress with the HTML 5 player.
As a workaround, you could sign up for our Podcast hosting service, and use that to host your episodes, which will give you an embedable player which does work. It will just mean you will have to use that player in your WordPress posts you want to embed, which will be difficult to manage.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] ICONS broken (WordPress)Hi @jamieford137 this looks like a font conflict with the icon font’s we use in the player.
In order to better assist you with this, could I ask you to send a support request to hello@castos.com, marked for my attention.
Thanks.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Embed player does not work in an external siteIf you want to launch your podcast, and have a player that works using the Episode Embed, you can use the Standard Compact Player, until we can get this update out.
Thanks
