The mistake was mine.
Here is the solution from WangGuard:
Go to WangGuard Settings and Disable secure connection to WangGuard server using SSL / TLS. After that Save Options, and save the API Key again.Thank you!

I still have the same reported problem on old websites.
I also JUST installed WG and here we go – no server connection, even with the API key on.
Please advice.

Because I didn’t know this definition, I was googling around for ages to find an answer to “subsite/subdomain/ etc theme template” 🙂 When I felt hopeless I posted the question here.

Does it mean that I will set up the theme with it’s plugins and the user will automatically will have a predefined website, or the article is more about which theme to be used by default and the settings of user’s website have to be done after registration?

I just solved the problem, which was created by WPMUDEV plugin called Membership.
Now I use Paid membership Pro and I am delighted!
