This is probably the best way I have heard this problem described yet. I, too, have this problem. I have a .gzip (which phpMyAdmin claims to be able to autodetect), but when I import it I get a page of red ‘no-no’ text.
The best answer I’ve heard to date is this one by Max Thrane, but that just leaves me with another problem: remotely accessing MySQL using MySQL admin.
I think my head is going to explode and all of my readers are going to flee in terror. If anyone has an easier way or a better way to explain this, I’d greatly appreciate it.
