What could they be? Google suggest photo resizing, but i’ve never used anything called magick. As i am removing all my photos and starting again with them, would i be ok to delete those files?Forum: Fixing WordPress

I actually found a file full of photos that were huge, even though i’d resized everything it was storing the full size. So i’ve deleted all the photos, i was needing to do a photo overhaul so it’s not an issue.
However i still have ‘Files in hidden subdirectories. 487.53 MB’ the cagefs folder. I’ve no idea what any of that is.Yes regular back ups.

He hosts a couple of small charity websites and helped me out by hosting mine too. He’s none the wiser on this stuff.
There’s 168kb in the wp-content/uploads directory so nothing wrong there?

I mean when i tell someone, on somewhere like facebook, about my website and i share my website address, instead of it showing some info about the site and a logo/picture, it just brings up ‘index of’. It lets them go to the site from my link, but there’s no info to entice them there 🙂

In reply to: sharing my url brings up 'index of'No it’s not resolved, you will see my site, there isn’t a problem there, as i mentioned in my OP, it is when i share my URL, the info it shows to that person doesn’t include the photo or info from my site, it just says ‘index of’.
Something to do with my home page not being the index page? But beyond that i’m confused and don’t know how to fix it.

Thank you that’s really lovely, i guess the best way of explaining is to show another site https://www.nyla-rose.com/
You’ll see the sidebar and main content are surrounded by the grey background colour, I would like something similar.
The right sidebar to be split if possible, one for the search, one for the products and one for the social media.
Then the same for the main, on all the pages throughout the site i am happy for it to stay as one, but the home page i would like the photo scroller to be seperate to the ‘about me’ section.Does that help?
