Hello ,

I have the same error
HP Fatal error: Cannot declare class PHPMailer, because the name is already in use in /srv/www/mysite.dev/htdocs/wp-includes/class-phpmailer.php on line 28

I have the same issue on Worpress 4.8 when adding GMAIL smtp .

How have you corrected this issue ?
