In reply to: [onetone] Mobile Devices : Background Video Not ShowingWell my advice would be to quantify in money the maximum and minimum amount of time it might take to fix this problem and then check with the client if they’re happy to spend this upper maximum amount. Possibly start a new thread and post asking if the owner of this site/project can guide you. PS Java is not Javascript just so you are aware.

In reply to: [onetone] Mobile Devices : Background Video Not ShowingPS why does the client want it resolved? Do they have a valid reason? Sometimes the job of a good programmer is to manage the client properly and to not have them waste money trying to fix features that don’t need fixed!!!

In reply to: [onetone] Mobile Devices : Background Video Not ShowingI doubt it’s the CSS because that handles everything automatically and there would be no issue. It’s more likely in a Javascript or Jquery code call which alters the CSS, and is just failing to work on resize() method rather than on load() method which is default. Does that make sense?

When in real life would a user end-device just resize from mobile into a desktop? Nearly never. So I wouldn’t worry about it! I’m sure it’s configurable somewhere somehow probably almost certainly within the CSS but the effort to find and sort this issue might be immense. All the best 🙂

In reply to: [onetone] Mobile Devices : Background Video Not ShowingI’m just thinking most mobiles would be viewing over a paid 3G or 4G plan, so it might not be appropriate to assume they would want to view a video at their expense. So it’s probably best to have a fixed image at lower resolutions? I’m not sure if there is a way to force the behaviour to change; I presume it’s configurable SOMEWHERE!!! Possibly https://wordpress.org/support/users/magictheme/ will have the definitive answer! Hope that helps!!

I’m just grateful to you for replying; it is very important to get these things right so many, many thanks for your help! I do love your theme and my friend is very happy with her website which I built for her. The image appears to be working fine on the mobile site now.
