In reply to: [Favicon by RealFaviconGenerator] Picture not showingHi,
I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
The markups are present in the HTML but the favicon files are not available for some reasons. This is strange, the plugin is supposed to fail with an error when something goes wrong.
Right now, I advice you to deactivate the plugin in order to not have the favicon HTML (since they link to files that are not available).
What is your hosting solution? Do you know if there is something special with your
/wp-content/uploaddirectory? Maybe you use a CDN of some kind.Hi Shelly,
About Dietsaredone : this because of an issue in the
headsection, before the declarations of the favicon. Chrome doesn’t react so well in such case, unlike Firefox which is more resilient. The problem is with the following code:/*
<!– Crunchify’s Scroll to Top Script –>
<script src=”http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.0.0/jquery.min.js”></script>
</script><script>
(…)
</script>
*/First, it uses C-style comments (
/* ... */) in the HTML, which is not legal. And is closes ascripttag twice.Consequence: when inspecting the DOM elements in Chrome (*not* by looking at the source directly), the favicon markups are absent. Theses are not the only missing markups, so you might have additional “small bugs” here and there in the site.
Now you need to understand where this faulty code comes from. Maybe this is from your theme, maybe this is from a plugin. There is a comment “Crunchify’s Scroll to Top Script”, if that rings any bell…
Intentionaleater : I couldn’t find the favicon markups. Is the plugin enabled for this site?

WP 4.3 does a good job at finally acknowledging favicon. But its implementation is very crude. Next version of the plugin will enhance the new “Site Icon” feature by making it comprehensive. Stay tuned!
