I eventually had the idea to go to Topics and put into trash the pages referenced there. That cleaned up the forum I created for posts.

I can live with checking Topics for a page that shouldn’t be there each time I create one. Still, the mystery remains as to why the plugin is unable to differentiate pages from posts.

I did, then emptied my website cache and CDN cache. No change. I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, but still no change.

Found it! “Also aggregate inline CSS?” must be unchecked in CSS options, as well as “Also minify inline JS/ CSS?” in HTML options.

I uploaded a new image under Twenty Twenty-Three and WP did not change its size.

1200 x 630 is good for Facebook and Twitter posts sharing. 924 x 630 is the ratio new images are automatically set to under Generatepress.

Ooops! So I change to Twenty Twenty-Three and though the picture appears in the right proportions as a thumbnail on the homepage, it is still registered and shows in the wrong ones as featured image on the post itself.

Thank you very much for your answer. Unfortunately, I discovered that UsersWP conflicted with several other plugins too on my website and I had to uninstall it.
