In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] Update Time and IntervalThe plugin uses WordPress’ built in update checks, which occur approximately every 12 hours.
This is definitely worth rethinking, though – ideally, we want to get rid of the maintenance screen entirely. Failing that, an “only check for and install updates at xx:xx o’clock” option would be a good thing to fall back on.

In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] Update email success but failed to update pluginThere’s a problem with how Automatic Updater and WPMU plugins work together.
The WPMU folks have been kind enough to set me up with a testing account, I just need to allocate some time to dig into what’s going on – there’s a bit of a shortage of spare time at this end of the year! 🙂

In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] Conflict with WPMU dev plugins?Unfortunately, I don’t have a WPMUdev account to be able to test this. Can you turn on debugging in Automatic Updater and see if anything interesting comes out in the email?
Alternatively, I’m happy to work with the WPMUdev folks on this – my email address is gary@pento.net, if they’d like to chat about what’s going on.

In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] Does not work on windows serverSorry, I haven’t managed to sort out some time to check this out – could you check the error logs to see if there’s anything relevant showing up?

In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] Does not work on windows serverIt’s worth a shot, though WordPress should automatically run it occasionally – let me know how it goes.

In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] Does not work on windows serverIn the main WordPress directory, wp-cron.php.

In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] Does not work on windows serverIt runs in wp-cron, so shouldn’t need any extra interaction to do the updates.
I don’t have a Windows server handy to investigate, I’ll see if I can set one up.

In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] Plugin not workWhen I tried to manually run your wp-cron.php, I got this error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20369803 bytes) in /web/htdocs/www.stupidolandia.it/home/stupidolandia/wp-content/plugins/wp-db-backup/wp-db-backup.php on line 1025
Could you try upping the memory limit, or disabling the WP DB Backup plugin?

In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] [Plugin: Automatic Updater] Sitewide supportI’ve committed some changes that should provide sitewide support.
Could I get you to download and install the Development Version, and give me feedback on how it works?

In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] Non wordpress.org hosted (or premium) updatesI don’t actually own any non-WP.org plugins, so I can’t test this particularly well. If you could put me in contact with a premium plugin provider who’d be happy to help me test, I can see if I can make this a bit more friendly. Best to email me at gary@pento.net.
