Very grateful for your links. I have the Genesis/Kristie theme and have followed the steps in a similar way and I’m able to add the favicon, but not the logo. I wonder if the person I had work on my site commented-out the functionality of changing/adding the logo? If you happen to know where that code exists, I could restore it – if indeed that is the case.

Please redirect me if needed. I, too, cannot seem to upload a new logo (Kristie) by visiting Appearance > Customize > Site Identity. I can change the favicon, but not the logo.
I appreciate any help. I was not able to see how I could start a new question on the support site, so I’m chiming in on this thread.
