I have the same problem with a customer site I’m trying to upgrade to WP3.6 and have reported it today to the plugin developers.
I’m not holding my breath regarding getting any answer as their last blog post was “WordPress 3.1 is Here!” :-{

The [Read More …] link only shows if you select “Show Content Limit”, if you want a “read more” link on an excerpt you have to create one yourself.
