In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Not in DashboardWell – in desperation (I need to add Events) I have installed the Spider Calendar – working good – so far. I can actually see the Calendar in the Dashboard and I can add Events –so– I guess I am using the Spider Calendar now. Can’t believe you have 300,000 downloads and no better product or support…..

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Not in DashboardCan anyone here recommend a good Calendar that works – The Events Calendar no longer works and I need a functioning Calendar that I can keep updated with current events. Having lost the Dashboard access to the Events makes this Calendar worthless…..

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Not in DashboardUpdated to 3.12.3 – Same, not in Dashboard. Re-Booted, etc. does not help.

In reply to: Menu – CSS Classes (optional)Another dumb css question.
I am now trying to work on a Suffusion Theme site that has css:
#nav ul {
list-style: none;
list-style-type:none;
display: block;
margin: 0 0 -1px 0;
padding: 0;
float: left;
vertical-align: bottom;
}#nav ul li {
margin: 0 4px 0 0;
padding: 0;
float: left;
border: 1px solid #009000;
}
#nav.continuous ul, #nav-top.continuous ul {
margin-left: 10px;
}
#nav.continuous ul ul, #nav-top.continuous ul ul {
margin-left: 0;
}
#nav.continuous ul li {
margin: 0;
border: none;
}#nav ul li a {
padding: 8px 8px 5px 8px;
text-decoration: none;
color: #222;
display: inline-block;
}#nav ul ul li,
#nav ul ul li a {
z-index: 100;
}#nav .current_page_item a,
#nav .current_page_item a:hover,
#nav li a:active {
text-decoration: none;
}/* float the list to make it horizontal and a relative positon so that you can control the dropdown menu positon */
#nav li {
float:left;
position:relative;
z-index: 1;
}#nav li a:hover,
#nav li:hover,
#nav li.sfHover {
z-index: 100;I have changed the #nav li a:hover, about ### times and I guess I just don’t have a grasp on css. How can I get the Hover to show the background color of 0051d0 and preferably Bold.
Thanks again for your help,

In reply to: Menu – CSS Classes (optional)I have put my own Menu into WordPress 3.1.2 and under a Menu Item there is a CSS Classes (optional) where I placed a:hover {color:#FF00FF;} -but- when I save the Menu Item it changes the codes to ahover colorFF00FF Whatever, the hover does not change the color. My site is using the default Twenty Ten 1.2 template, although I am thinking about going to the Suffusion Template. The site address is thecountyjail.com Thanks for your help.

In reply to: Does WP handle 'if-modified' html requests from google?I’ll comment on this on too. Because I want the same feature on my (first) WP 3.1 site. It would be a nice feature.

In reply to: If-Modified-Since HTTP header supported?Is there an answer for this post – I want the same thing for my (first) WP 3.1 site…
I found the answer – I installed Cimy Header Image Rotator and it works great – effects and all. 🙂

In reply to: Home Page – DifferentThanks SamualB – I did what you suggested and it works great. I am really impressed with the quick, acurate and helpful response time on this forum.
One other thing – I have installed Calendar by Kieran O’Shea and the function to “Display a jumpbox for changing month and year quickly?” does not appear to work – can you recomend a good Calendar that works well with WP. The Calendar seeems to be OK -but- I want the Month & Year Change capability.
Thanks for your help,
PaulThanks – the response time on this forum is GREAT. I looked there before and I was interested in David’s Technical Musings (English) -but- it gives me a Service Unavailable HTTP 503 -so- since I only (read / speak) English I don’t see anything that documents the available ‘commands / parameters’ to control the various functions in this apparently wonderful Plug-In.
PaulGreat – that helps a lot. I have it working now -but- are there any other docs ie: like how to control the delay between slides on the slideshow?
Thanks again,
paul
