Say you want to import this blog http://patil.wordpress.com/ into your new one. What every WordPress blog has is a XML file at http://patil.wordpress.com/feed. All you have to do is save this XML file locally. Then click “import” and “RSS” choose the path to XML and you should be set. This worked for me.
