In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] WordPress 4.6 compatibilityThank you for that, but I had already gone through the checklist.
I am adding the following in hopes it may help others. I could send test emails fine but not from the form. I tried to set up the form as prescribed but either that does not work or I was doing it wrong. What worked for me is this: I got a widget called Postman SMTP. I set it up using a domain defined email account. I got the error. I contacted Bluehost; they gave me the in/out server names and port to use, plus authentication instructions. Which I misunderstood. So I got an auth error. But once I put it all in correctly, I was able to send a test email.
And then the Contact form worked, not sure why the one made the other work, I did not change any contact form config (although by then I had switched to Form 7 out of desperation).
I hope that helps someone.

In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] WordPress 4.6 compatibilityI have two unrelated sites. Both are on WP 4.6, and both run child themes.
From the site hosted on iPage (a development site), I receive test emails, both from the test in “tools” and just using the form to send.
From the site hosted on BlueHost, I have tried to get all the same settings. I can send a test from “tools”, but no other email ever arrives. I have seen no error – just “message sent, thank you” then it redirects.
It could very well be a problem with the child theme, but I am at a loss as to where I might find error messages to get some direction. Also, on the Bluehost site I configured actual email addresses and forwarding and using roundcube – I did not have to do any of that on the other site, but the instructions were so firm about the email addresses being on the same domain I thought I would try that.
Any direction you could suggest would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
