In reply to: [Post Notif] Subscribers are not confirmedHi Devon!
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my issue.I followed your advice and changed the email. I resent an email and my test address did receive it. I resent it to you too. (and noticed that I had other settings I had missed, so that was enlighting)!
It works perfectly well, thank you very much, I believe I am going to be very happy with this plugin.
Best,

In reply to: [MailChimp Forms by MailMunch] Not sure the pop-up shows up when visitingThank you so much MailMunch!
I feel I am going to really love this plugin and this app. I already got some sign-ups. I like it that it does not show up once you have signed up, because I find it annoying when it happens to me!
Thanks again, it looks like a really great extension!

In reply to: Error establishing a database connectionHad to do a clean re install.
I was very fortunate that a wizard came to my help.
Grateful to have such a nice community around me.
I still have not understood what happened but I am glad I finally have access back after two months!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Error establishing a database connectionI verified the config.php and everything is okay, I confirmed the password.
Now, it has to be something with wordpress because I checked with another installed CMS and it is working, see here

and
also
http://terouma.net/dotclearAlso, I was very surprised to receive an email directly sent to my inbox by a non-affiliate private company offering to fix my problem for a flat rate. I did not know that there were lurkers on these boards ready to pounce to get customers.
If I was able to afford a professional help, I would probably pay much more than the proposed flat rate for sure, but I would not spend hours researching the community and asking for networking genuine help.
A little shocked from the experience, I have to say 🙁

In reply to: Error establishing a database connectionThanks Bob, I appreciate it.
I have attempted the repair (several times already) and I also get the message as you quote after I have repaired the database.
the values for the DB are the ones the host gave me. I will re-check with them (for the 4th time)
They say that it must be something in my code, but I have never touched to the code (I would be completely unable to do so).
Back to square one I guess.
Thanks again a lot for your help.

In reply to: Update to WordPress 4 does not appear anymore on the dashboardHear; hear : the SQL was indeed on Read Only mode and I have needed to go into phpmyadmin to empty some tables and shrink the database.
Access is back.
Not sure I gained new knowledge here, because I feel like I am speaking yet another foreign language, but it is still fun.
Thank you to everyone who stepped up to come to my rescue!
Much appreciate the journey.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Update to WordPress 4 does not appear anymore on the dashboardHi WPyogi, thanks for checking on me! I feel less lonely.
I left a message on my hosting company support forums + opened a ticket with the technical support.
I do not think the server is having any issue because I can access my website with no problem: Just cannot access the wp-admin
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Update to WordPress 4 does not appear anymore on the dashboardI have not been able to access my admin since I proceeded exactly with the instructions and I am not sure what file I should correct to overpass this loop message. If someone has a guidance for me, I will appreciate it.

In reply to: Update to WordPress 4 does not appear anymore on the dashboardThank you so much for helping me WPyogi.
So I followed your suggestions. Backup site done. Backup Database done. Renamed plugins. Default theme in use.
I then followed all the instructions for the manual update.
After that at step 2 of the Update Installation, it required an Update Database and it confirmed it was successful, but then kept repeating it was requiring it, so I assumed it had a cache to be emptied? Because even emptying my browser’s cache did not change this.
Database Update Required
WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.
So here is where I am now stuck.
Should I just wait, or is there anything I should do with the database or anything?
Thank you so very much for your help!

In reply to: Update to WordPress 4 does not appear anymore on the dashboardWell…. I tried… and broke it all 🙂
Fatal error: fatal flex scanner internal error–end of buffer missed in /home/terouma/www/wp-config.php on line 93
Never mind I had saved the original wp-config,php so I reverted back to where I was until I understand what I really need to copy in that file to allow an increased memory size. Live and learn…
If you could guide me, I would really appreciate it.
This is what I have copied on line 93
/**Increase PHP Memory to 64MB. */ define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M' );Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Update to WordPress 4 does not appear anymore on the dashboardI am not sure. I am not getting the message “Allowed memory size of xxxxxx bytes exhausted” anymore. I was hoping this meant it had self-fixed. I guess I have to me more active and start with figuring out:
do you mean I should add a line to the wp-config.php file?
that reads
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M' );I am not sure about what I understand from reading the
http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
as you can tellThank you very much for your help, I do appreciate it!
