Thanks Serge. I re-enabled the “Merge + Minify + Refresh” plugin, but disabled merging of JS files. Now the images are loading although the syntax error is showing up.

I just found out that when I disable the “Merge + Minify + Refresh” plugin, the images are loading correctly and the syntax error is not showing up.
I guess that’s not what this plugin is supposed to do. It’s about menu items, isn’t it?
