Yeah, I haven’t touched that stuff too much yet. It shouldn’t be too difficult though, I just haven’t felt like digging into the inner-inner core stuff just yet.

The WP/bbPress switch is actually a plugin, and at the moment I don’t have the URL (but I can get it for you if you like). The plugin basically creates a topic in whatever forum you want, and posts it as a forum post. It’s a bit buggy (sometimes broken out of the box), but other than that, it runs itself. The Admin thing? You mean after the post as the post author? My name is Bryce (is that what you were refering to?), if so, it is just a simple call. Something like
php the_author_nickname(); ?>.uber schweet? Deutsch fer Very Sweet? Siehr Danke.
Want to know a secret? The background is the same exact color, I just modified everything else around it.

I was messing around with the crosshair stuff because I thought it would be kind of cool to see something other than that frikkin arrow. It says to me, yeah, I know where I’m pointing it.
goodman-When you say dull, what would you expect to see more of? Graphics? That sort of thing? Maybe it could use some sort of an opaque star-looking thing at the top somewhere.
jon- is the +1 a 1 out of 10 or a 1 out of 5? A 1 out of 5 would be good, better than a zero right?
BTW, I am going for the geeky thing with this. I want you to feel like you are looking at a DOS page, but with better fonts.

Thanks HandySolo. I registered my username on a website that I used to do some bad things with. Not Spammy, not malicious of course. Maybe I fall under the bad behavoir area then? Or could it be an IP thing?
I never used Akismet so I don’t exactly know how it works.

In reply to: Embedding WP to my main pgThe folder with wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes, as well as all of the other .php files, should go right into your website’s main root. For example, it should look like this:
http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin
http://yourdomain.com/wp-includes
http://yourdomain.com/wp-contentIf you want to have wordpress on the front of your website, don’t copy the folder titled ‘wordpress’, copy everything else though the way it is.

Flatworm, what is the status of your integration there?
I didnt use bbPress for the same reason you didn’t, but it turned out it was my own error. After I learned the system, I loved it and I will never go back to another forum engine again. Sure, it doesn’t have all of the bells and whistles the something like vBulletin has, but that is the purpose. Its designed to be fast, easy and non-bloated.Forum: Fixing WordPress
