Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Broken SSL PadlockOK… just wanted to wrap this up since I found a working solution.
The problem was that my WP theme uses Elementor and apparently when importing demo content, some of this content does not have the HTTPS prefix.
I tried a lot of things; editing the .htaccess file, reinstalling the theme, installing another theme with Elementor where this problem persisted. I tried the Really Simple SSL plugin. Based on forum posts on the internet I tried to find the erroneous code in the PHPMyAdmin database. I tried using the Better Search Replace plugin.
Nothing worked.
Finally I happened to re-read an article by Really Simple SSL where is says that the problem is common with Elementor-based themes:
This finally solved it for me – and could have helped save 6 hours of hair-tearing if I had closely read what it said sooner. Hope it helps some one else out there.
Best regards.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Broken SSL PadlockHi Jonathan,
I’m having the exact same problem for six images in a brand new theme that I bought and am trying to set up for a costumer.Did you fix it and how/where did you locate line 314?
Tearing out my hair here too – wasn’t able to find anything useful online yet.
Thanks in advance, much appreciated.
