I figured it out. I just added
.login #nav a{color:#ffffff!important;}.login #nav a:hover{color:#287DDE!important;}
To the Custom CSS box and voila! white text that goes blue on hover.
Go into your wp-Content folder on your WordPress install and find the Themes folder. Once there open up the Modularity-light folder then the images folder, then finally the slideshow folder.
Just delete whatever pics you dont want showing up. You can also put any picture here that has the same dimensions as the original and rename it to image1.jpg, overwriting the original picture.
