I just reinstalled the plugin, and all the SEO data reappeared. Very weird.
Thanks, Aaron
So there was no security breach.
The latest back up did not contain the plugin.
I had actually reached out to Yoast who was kind enough to respond. He asked me if the plugin also disappeared from the wp_postmeta table, too. I didn’t know how to answer this. I reached out to my developer who has not gotten back to me, either.
Does anyone know how to check and see if this plugin is still in the wp_postmeta table? Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
Thanks, Aaron
Thanks @csoyo. I will check into that. To my knowledge there was no security breach.
My only concern is that this happened sometime in the past 3 weeks. No knowledge of when – and changes have been made to the website since then.
Thanks, Aaron

In reply to: Entire WordPress site & theme disappeared & reset to defaultHeard back from HostGator. They have no answers for me. All they can find are the standard default WordPress posts.
Additionally, my Squeeze Theme is no longer installed on the site. It is MIA – along with my pages.
When I clicked on the “update” WordPress prompt, I thought nothing of it. It looked official. But so do those Paypal/banking phishing scams.

Will keep you posted. Thanks James!

I’m hosted with HostGator. They do back-ups every Sunday AM. After spending all day getting the site up and running today, Monday, their back-up will do me no good.
They also said my posts aren’t even on THEIR servers, which really has me wondering what happened – and how to prevent it from happening again.
James, do you think I was hacked because I received a “WordPress update” to install – even though I was up-to-date, and I clicked on it?
